How to make a moodboard
Collect references, arrange them by relationship, name what repeats and refine toward a clear direction.
Begin with a question
Write one sentence about the feeling or decision the board should support. A narrow prompt makes selection easier.
Collect with context
Add the source link and a short note about what caught your attention. The note matters more than collecting another near-duplicate image.
Arrange and name patterns
Move related references close together. Label recurring qualities such as soft daylight, rounded edges or quiet contrast.
Edit until it speaks clearly
Remove material that does not support the direction. Keep a small intention checklist beside the final group.
