Plans, payments and workspace access
Compare billing periods, choose your tier, manage renewal and understand what happens when access expires.
Choose a plan and billing period
Open Pricing and compare Weekly, Monthly or Yearly. The large price is the total charged each renewal period. An annual monthly equivalent is explanatory; the full yearly amount is charged at once.
Cove is $1.49 weekly, $4.99 monthly or $40 total yearly. Its yearly option saves $19.88 compared with twelve $4.99 monthly payments. Cove includes private canvases, notes, links, images, files, collections, search, checklists and browser extension capture.
Studio is $2.49 weekly, $7.99 monthly or $79 yearly. It adds local document extraction, image palettes, calendar reminders, version history, REST and MCP integrations. Studio Plus is $3.99 weekly, $12.99 monthly or $129 yearly and adds shared spaces, invitations, public sharing, comments and live collaboration.
Choose the plan, create or sign into your account, and review Billing. Confirm the amount, renewal period and any accepted discount in Stripe Checkout before paying. There is no automatic free trial.
After checkout
- Rail Cove opens the private workspace only after the billing provider confirms an active subscription. Returning from checkout is not itself proof of payment. Refresh billing status if confirmation has not arrived, then choose Continue to onboarding or Open workspace.
- When Billing displays Stripe test mode, use Stripe test payment details. No real charge is created. An installation without configured checkout cannot sell subscriptions.
- If an unpaid checkout is unfinished, use Continue checkout or Choose a different plan in Billing. Rail Cove closes the existing Stripe session before offering another plan. If you already paid, refresh status while confirmation arrives; closing an unpaid checkout does not refund or cancel a paid subscription. Existing subscriptions use Manage subscription and invoices for payment recovery or cancellation.
- If the payment completed but access is still pending, contact the installation's support team so they can check webhook delivery. A refresh does not invent a successful payment.
Change plans or cancel
Open Settings → Billing → Manage subscription and invoices. The billing portal lets you review available plans, invoices and payment methods. Review any proration and the renewal date before confirming a change.
Cancellation at period end keeps access through the confirmed paid period. An expired, past-due or canceled subscription closes the private workspace. Your data is not deleted because a payment or renewal stopped.
Subscriptions marked as manually managed are changed by an administrator. Contact support for changes rather than starting a second paid subscription.
What remains available
- You can still sign in, manage billing and account security, revoke API keys and OAuth grants, export your account data, or request account deletion after workspace access expires. Public documentation and the homepage example remain accessible.
- A Cove account can keep using its own canvases after a downgrade from Studio Plus. Shared links, member access and live collaboration stop when the owner's collaboration entitlement ends. REST and MCP also recheck the account's current plan; an old API key does not bypass the paywall.
