Work in a shared space
Create a small shared home, place selected canvases inside it, and manage membership roles separately from a personal cove.
Follow the steps
Open Shared spaces and choose Create shared space. Give the space a name and optional description.
Open the new space and choose one of your canvases to add to it. The board remains a board, with the space providing its shared membership boundary.
As an owner or admin, open members and invite an email with viewer, editor, or admin access when the role is appropriate.
Open a board from the space to use its normal share, comments, live-signal, and revision controls.
What to know
- Personal boards and shared-space boards have separate access checks. A space member can see the boards that belong to that space according to the current membership and verification rules.
- Space administration manages who belongs to the space. Board ownership and board-level roles still determine which board actions are available.
- Shared spaces are for a small group around ideas; they do not add assignments, status tracking, or a project-management workflow.
Troubleshooting
- If a board is not available to add, confirm that you own it and that it is not deleted.
- If member management is unavailable, your space role is not owner or admin.
- If a member cannot see a shared space, confirm the invitation was accepted by the intended verified account and that the member was not removed.
