Organize saved ideas with collections and tags

Use one lightweight collection relationship and a small tag vocabulary to make saved material easier to retrieve.

Follow the steps

In Library, choose New collection, enter a name, and create it. Collections are account-owned.
When capturing or editing an item, choose a collection from the Collection field. Choose No collection to leave it ungrouped.
Enter tags separated by commas in the Tags field. Save the item to store the normalized tag list.
Use the collection filter in Library or choose an item tag badge to open Search with that term.
For an eligible saved item, automatic tags merge with its current tags. Use the item reader to add, edit or remove tags immediately, or choose Tag again to generate a fresh set.

Collections group library assets; they do not change the spatial relationships of cards already placed on a canvas.
Tags are stored on the asset and are included in library and global search.
The current collection API stores title and description. The capture dialog shows a color control, but that value is not sent by the current form and should not be documented as persisted.
Automatic smart tags are enabled by default for new captures. They do not backfill older items, and successful tags can be edited or removed immediately.

If a collection is not available in the picker, refresh Library after creating it and confirm that you are in the same account.
If a tag search is too broad, use a more distinctive tag or combine the phrase with a title or note term.
If an item cannot be assigned to a collection, the collection must belong to the current account.
