Search canvases and saved material
Search board titles and content alongside library titles, notes, tags, links, and extracted document text.
Follow the steps
Open Search from the sidebar or submit the search field in the workspace header.
Enter a word or phrase and choose Search. Results are grouped into canvases and library assets.
Open a canvas result to return to its board, or open an asset result to inspect the saved item and its source.
For a library-only view, use Library's search field together with its collection, inbox, and type filters.
What to know
- Global search checks accessible board titles, descriptions, saved board content, and the current user's asset titles, text, and tags.
- Extracted document text is searchable after a successful extraction has been saved to the asset.
- Search terms are capped at 300 characters by the API. Empty search returns an empty state rather than all results.
Troubleshooting
- If there are no results, try fewer words, another spelling, the source title, or a tag.
- If extracted text is absent, open the document item and check its extraction job status before searching again.
- If a shared board is missing, verify that your account has board or shared-space access and that the board has not been moved to Trash.
